Two members of the National Football League's New York Giants' Coaching Staff will be part of the Lenoir-Rhyne Sports Hall Of Fame this fall. On October 8, Perry Fewell will be inducted into the L-R Sports Hall Of Fame as part of the Class Of 2011 and will join fellow coach Mike Pope in the hall.

Fewell graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne in 1985 and Pope is a 1964 graduate of L-R.

Fewell is entering his second season as the Giants' Defensive Coordinator while Pope is New York's Tight Ends Coach and has been with the Giants for a total of 21 years including 12 straight seasons in his current second tour of duty.

Both Fewell (14 years) and Pope (29 years) have a combined 43 years of coaching experience in the National Football League entering this season.

Pope was inducted into the Lenoir-Rhyne Sports Hall Of Fame in 1997.

The Lenoir-Rhyne Sports Hall Of Fame Class of 2011 includes Fewell, Traci Hyman Davis (L-R, 2000), Scott Crawford and Alexander "Mac" MacDonald (L-R, 1969).

The ceremony will take place on Saturday morning, October 8, at the P.E. Monroe Auditorium.

The L-R Sports Hall Of Fame Class of 2011 will also be honored at halftime of Lenoir-Rhyne's home football game with Brevard later that afternoon.  Kickoff for the contest is set for 2:00 p.m., at Moretz Stadium.
