Daniel Kilgore, who was the anchor of Appalachian State's offensive line, has signed his first professional contract.

The 6-foot-3, 308 pound rookie inked a four-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers on Wednesday. The deal is worth $2.2 million dollars. Kilgore, a first-team All-Southern Conference and third team All-America for the Mountaineers last fall, was taken in the fifth round by San Francisco with the 163rd pick. The 49ers traded up with Green Bay to select Kilgore.
Linebacker D.J. Smith of the Mountaineers, who was taken by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth-round of the NFL Draft in April, and free safety Mark LeGree, who was taken in the fifth-round by the Seatte Seahawks, have yet to sign with their respective teams.
