Madison Bumgarner picked up his third win of the year Wednesday night.

And he did it against Arizona in a battle for first place in the National League West. Bumgarner went six innings, and gave up two earned runs on five hits with six stirkeouts and a walk as the Giants bested the Diamondbacks 5-2 at Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ.
The win gives San Francisco (39-29) a 2 1/2 game lead on Arizona for fisrt place. The Giants have won three in a row and four of their last five.
With the win, Bumgarner improves to 3-8 on the year with a 3.21 earned-run-average. But in his last ten appearances, he has given up just 15 earned runs in 66 2/3 innings for a 2.03 ERA. Bumgarner's next start comes against the Minnesota Twins at home on June 21.
