Montana Arrested PDF Print

Nate Montana, the oldest son of Hall of Fame and former National Football League quarterback Joe Montana, was arrested early Friday morning in MIssoula, Montana, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

 

Montana, who is 21-years-old, was arrested around 4 am Mountain Daylight Time Friday morning. He was later released on $685 bond and must appear in Missoula Justice Court. Montana, a junior who transferred from the University of Notre Dame to the University of Montana in February, was among 11 athletes arrested for underage drinking at a party in South Bend, IN in July of 2010.
Montana, who went through spring workouts with the Grizzlies, is in the running to be the No.1 quarterback this fall. Montana was 8-12 for 75 yards and a touchdown in the annual spring game.
Overall, the Grizzlies played four quarterbacks in that spring game and they completed 22-31 passes for 208 yards and six touchdowns. The Grizzlies will open the season at Tennessee on September 3.
