Storm 13&U Boys Place In Two Tournaments PDF Print

The Watauga Storm 13-and-under boys basketball team turned in a seventh-place finish at the YBOA state tournament, May 13-17.

This past weekend, the Storm 13&U team played in the YBOA Great Smokies Tournament and finished in fourth place. They went 4-0 in pool play and earned  the No. 1 seed. 
Watauga defeated the Lake Norman Wizards 68-56, the East Burke Cavs 53-44, the Redemption Warriors 56-42 and the Carolina Spartans 61-56 in overtime.
Unfortunately, Watauga was bested by the  South Carolina Celtics from Columbia SC 63-51 in the quarterfinals. Then they dropped a 63-61 decision to East Burke in the 3rd place game, falling on a last second shot. 
The Watauga Storm 13&U team was coached by Greg Russell and the team members were : Caleb Bryson, Holden Russell, Zack Valet, Caleb Zimmerman, Nick Sherman, Morgan McKay, Aaron Dobbins, Jacob Waldroop and Dillon Carmichael.
