The Boone Town Council has scheduled a public hearing to hear any concerns or opinions about the current Saturday/Gameday parking regulations in Downtown Boone as well as to discuss some proposed changes. Some of the proposed changes are as follows:

  • Changing the King Street lot to a pay for the day lot on Gamedays.
  • Changing the current two hour parking time limit to one hour.

The Council has scheduled this public hearing so that those impacted will have the opportunity to voice their opinions.  If you have questions or concerns I encourage you to take this opportunity to communicate with the Town Council.

The public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday May 17, 2011.  It is on the agenda for 7:00 pm; however, I recommend that you be there by 6:30 if you plan to speak.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, but would like for me to read a statement on your behalf, please e-mail your statement to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it by Tuesday morning.
