Four people were injured in a nearly head-on crash at about 4 this morning on NC 194 near Howards Creek Road.  Wings Air Ambulance was called to a landing zone at Hardin Park School to transport Ronald Allen Evans, 55, of Todd, while Watauga Medics and Watauga Rescue ambulances transported three others to Watauga Medical Center.

The collision involved a Toyota SUV driven by Georgia Douglas, 65, also of Todd, that the state patrol says went left of center, slamming into Evans’ PT Cruiser. Both vehicles ending up nosed into the fence of a camping equipment center, and both vehicles were driven by Pottertown Road Todd residents.  The state patrol says they are still interviewing those involved, charges pending.
