Johnson County, Tennessee has suffered severe damage overnight, with reports that two tornadoes may have slammed into the Doe community in the overnight, tearing into structures, dumping trees and debris onto roads—maybe claiming lives. The Tennessee DOT closed TN 67 in that area, with traffic being diverted to TN 167. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office asked for everyone to stay off the roads this morning—schools are closed there, and they’re desperately trying to get help to where it is needed most.
Anyone with storm damage in Johnson County is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 423-727-7761, but otherwise stay home, stay off the roads, as emergency crews are trying to get work done all over the county.
