The Watauga Sheriff’s Office has identified the man killed in the accident last night as 48-year old Larry Len Hinson of Sugar Grove.  The report says Hinson was trapped between the bucket and chassis of a Bobcat loader he was considering buying when the accident occurred about 8 last night, behind 102 Larry Winkler Road, just off Old US 421.

The caller said the man was not breathing, was turning blue, and there was some bleeding as they worked to try to free him.  Deep Gap Firemen and first responders were quickly on the scene, followed by Watauga Rescue and Watauga Medics, but it took the better part of an hour to finally free Larry Hinson, dead at the scene.
