Lightning started a fire that damaged an outbuilding, causing a two-alarm blaze in the Fleetwood area of Ashe County.  The 3pm Saturday fire call was to an outbuilding just behind a mobile home off of Cranberry Springs Road on Little Creek Drive, answered by Deep Gap Firemen. Deep Gap Fire arrived on scene with three fire apparatus and about 15 members and had extinguished the fire as Fleetwood was called for back-up, but the response from Fleetwood was canceled as Deep Gap had the fire out and completed the salvage and overhaul process with their resources.
