Catawba County authorities are saying that two people are dead—four shot—in an incident early this morning they’re calling a home invasion. The call came in at 4:45 this morning at the Oak Knoll Mobile Home Park at 2300 Emmanuel Church Road near Newton.  The caller reported that he had been shot in the neck, and arriving deputies of the Catawba Sheriff’s Office said there were multiple victims as they secured the scene for EMS and rescue to respond.  WSOC-TV is reporting that two of the victims are dead, two others suffering life-threatening injuries, saying that a masked man came to the door of the mobile home, robbing the man who answered the door, then shooting him and three other occupants.
