The Watauga High men's tennis match at St. Stephens has been rained out.

No make-up date has been announced as of yet. The Pioneers tennis team, which defeated Fred T. Foard 9-0 Tuesday afternoon, is 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the Northwestern 3A/4A Conference. Steve Lake, who battled a nagging back injury at the Port City Invitational last weekend and suffered his first loss of the year in singles play because of the injury, played Tuesday and night and won his match at No.1 singles. He did not compete in doubles play. Landon Taylor and Harrison Battle played No.1 doubles against the Tigers. The Pioneers, weather-permitting, travel to Alexander Central Thursday night.
The Pioneers will play a pair of heavyweights next week. They travel to Salisbury on Monday and then its off to Providence next Wednesday.
