Breitenstein named SoCon Offensive Player of Week PDF Print

Eric Breitenstein, who turned in a career-best performance for Wofford College on Saturday against Furman, has been named the Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Breitenstein, who was a two-time All-State selection at Watauga High, rambled for a career-hight 230 yards and scored four touchdowns as the Terriers pounded Furman 38-17 in their SoCon opener. For the year, Breitenstein, a re-shirt sophomore wih the Terriers, has gained 512 yards on the ground and he has scored nine touchdowns.
And the Terriers, who were among teams receiving votes last week, are ranked 21st this week in The Sports Network/ FCS Top 25 College Football Poll and 25th in the FCS Coaches Poll. The Terriers take on Georga Southern on Saturday. The Eagles are ranked 16th in TSN Poll and 13th in the Coaches Poll.
