The Ashe County man charged by Boone Police with vehicle break-ins at the New Market Center earlier this month has now been charged by the Ashe County Sheriff’s Department in a rash of home break-ins stretching back a year.

Gabriel Dean Miller came to the attention of investigators in Ashe after the Boone arrest, according to Sheriff James Williams, and they have charged him in three large thefts, two in the Crumpler area, one in Fleetwood—goods totaling some $25,000.  Sheriff Williams said that with the arrest of Miller, a large percentage of goods stolen have been recovered.  In addition to the new charges in Ashe, Williams said that goods have been recovered in a Galax Virginia break-in with some $11,000 in thefts.  Gabriel Dean Miller was set a bond of $60,000 in Ashe in the three break-in and larceny charges.
