Move-In Day for New Apps PDF Print

Watch out for lost parents and excited students as the new freshman class at ASU arrives for move-in day today.  Several thousand new students—accompanied by family—will be trying to find their dorms, where to eat, and working to set up a life away from home—many for the first time.

That means a mess for traffic around campus, where teams of volunteers will be trying to help get everyone to the right dorm and get unloaded, and a mess in just about every shopping venue, where all the items needed for their new life away from home will quickly come off the shelves.  Most students have been through orientation, but there will still be some disorientation as these new students—and their lost parents—try to navigate today, so watch out today.
