Wilkesboro police and Wal-Mart management there are reviewing video to figure how two women managed to take $2,300 from the store last month.  The report says that the two women approached a cashier with two small purchases, one woman seeming to act as an interpreter for the second.   The first wanted the cashier to make specific change and at one point reaches into the drawer to show the cashier what denomination of bills she wants back as change.  The woman  actually managed to take money from the drawer with her right hand, then spreads the cash out with her left—20’s and 100-dollar bills—three times—while talking to the clerk.  With their transaction complete, the women leave, and only after the daily audit of the cash drawer was the $2300 found to be missing.  Video taken that day shows a male with the two women as they enter the store, but he was not present at the check-out.  So far, no arrests have come.
