Weaver Signs Three for 2016-17

BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University track and field head coach John Weaver announced the addition of three men’s track student-athletes for the 2016-17 season on Tuesday.

Jordan Dale (Greensboro, N.C./Northwest Guilford), Elliott Graves (Reidsville, N.C./Rockingham Early College) and Daniel Lauffenburger (Winston-Salem, N.C./Forsyth Country Day) will each join the Black and Gold for the 2016-17 season.

“We are very pleased to sign these three student-athletes early,” said Weaver. “They will add so much to our depth in the hurdles and the high jump. Our recruiting is ongoing as we move toward the final signing in April, but having already signed such quality to our squad for next year gives us a tremendous head start on a really good recruiting year.”

Weaver added, “Elliott Graves is an outstanding hurdler we expect to move right into Sun Belt competition in a big way. Jordan Dale and Daniel Lauffenburger are literally the icing on the cake with the returning high jumpers we have on the squad. Their signing assures us of quality athletes in that area for the next four years.”
