A grey tabby cat named Trapper went missing on Chestnut Dr. in Boone, behind Modern Toyota.  He does have a collar on him, but the number on it is no longer connected.  Please call 964-2437 if you find him.

Found Dog:

A female terrier dark gray with brown and has white around her muzzle.  She appears to be in really good shape, weighs about 12 to 15 lbs.  Has no collar.  The dog was found on the corner of Holloway Mtn. Lost Cat: Oscar

Oscar is a 3 year old female brown tabby with black stripes with a white belly.  All of Oscars four legs are white from the knees down to her paws.  She is wearing a black collar, there are 2 tags - one tag has the owners information and the other will say Pet Watch and she has a micro-chip in her.  Oscar was last seen in the Todd area out on Zion Methodist Church Road and has been missing since August 13th.  If you have any information about her please call (704) 490-8938 or (717) 655-0673.

Lost Cat: Dexter

Dexter has been missing from the Matney area since July 8th. He is an 11 year old Bengal cat, black marbled with an orange belly (often mistaken for tortoiseshell). A neutered male, he is microchipped with an overseas registration; wears no collar or tags. Weighs 10-11 lbs., very well cared for & loved. Reward for his return. Found Dog:

A female beige shitzu, she was found out on Bairds Creek Road about one and half miles past the Willow Creek Golf Cource.  Took her to the Vet to find out if she had a chip, Vet said she appears to be about 4 or 5 years old.  She has a summer cut, she is very layed back and sweet.  Please call Rick at (828) 963-1874.

Two lost dogs

The Townsend family has lost two dogs, a tan/whitish mountain cur with a black face named Ziva and a black lab mix with a white chest named Sophie. The two will most likely stay together, Ziva is wearing a collar with no tags, and Sophie is not wearing a collar or tags. Ziva is very friendly, but Sophie is a little shy and wary of men. We are taking care of a cat that showed up at our house on Blackberry Road (near Aho) on Sunday, August 4. it is a neutered male, long hair, mostly gray/black but has white stocking feet and a white chest. Looking for new home: Ginny

Ginny, a 14-month-old Cocker Spaniel is looking for a new home. She belonged to a lady who has been moved to assisted living. Ginny is healthy and up to date on all her shots. She does need a little house training and would be best suited to go to a home without children. Her vet said "with some training and patience she would make someone a sweet companion."
