The Watauga County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest two residents over the past few days on breaking and entering charges in Watauga County.

According to Captain Dee Dee Rominger with the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office, 26-year-old Rockie Joe Huffman, of Millers Creek, was arrested last Wednesday for allegedly breaking into a trailer on Murry Drive in Boone and stealing tools back in July.  Huffman was arrested in Wilkes County for felony breaking and entering and felony larceny.  He will appear in court on October 22.

30-year-old Larry Charles Shumpert, of Monroe, was arrested on September 18 after authorities believe he broke into a Watauga County residence in August, stole personal property, and damaged a laptop computer.  Captain Rominger said Shumpert faces two counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny, and one count of injury to personal property.  He was arrested in Union County and will also appear in court on October 22.
