Shelter Rock to Give Gifts, Food, and Toiletry Items Away Every Tuesday PDF Print

Boone-based missions organization, Shelter Rock Ministries, will be giving away gifts, food, and toiletry items to High Country residents every Tuesday beginning today.

Shelter Rock’s director, Steven Reese, said every Tuesday the organization will be distributing over four tons of groceries and gift items for free on a first come, first serve basis.

Reese said, “This could be considered our own version of a stimulus package for the High Country because we have got thousands of pounds of provision that’s coming in every sing week now and we’re going to continue to give these out every Tuesday to families with children or that just can use the assistance, especially those that can use the help in making ends meet.  I’m really excited about all the food, toiletry supplies, and gifts that we’re going to be giving freely to anybody that can use it.”

Any High Country resident who has fallen on hard times and could use a little help can stop by the Shelter Rock headquarters on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. on Church Road in Foscoe.

More information about Shelter Rock and their Tuesday blessings can be found online at or by calling (828) 963-4135.
