LENOIR (WJRI) The Lenoir Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened over the weekend. Sunday evening a man was robbed at gunpoint at a residence on Calvary Place. The offender took $200 in cash among other items. Anyone with information about the crime should contact Lenoir Police at 828-757-2100.

CATAWBA COUNTY (WKVS) An accident on Highway 321 yesterday morning snarled traffic and sent three to local hospitals. The accident took place near mile marker 37 on Highway 321 South around 8:30 yesterday morning. A vehicle traveling Northbound is said to have crossed over to the South Bound lanes and hit a truck going South Bound. One person was injured seriously while two others had only slight injuries. Three women are credited with pulling the windshield back on the truck so the men could crawl out. Traffic was backed up and was at a standstill while Emergency Crews worked to care for the injured. Weather may have been a factor in this wreck.

HUDSON (WKVS) Hudson will be home to the third PLUS URGENT CARE. The new location will open in the Anderson Medical Park on Pine Mountain Road, Suite 4. The new office will open next Monday and be open 8am until 8pm Monday-Friday and 10am until 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. Urgent Care locations are designed for those who dont have a regular doctor or who need to be seen on short notice, but are not designed for Emergencies.

HICKORY (WKVS) Hickory firefighters were called out into the cold early yesterday morning to fight a fire at an apartment that caught fire for the second time in a year. Hickory fire officials say the call was received around 5:30 and crews were on the scene a little more than an hour at the residence on 2nd St. Place NW. There was significant damage to the apartment. The fire is still under investigation. A firefighter was treated and released for a minor injury.
