A Concord couple and a Boone man are charged in a meth conspiracy broken up by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit and Boone Police. The trio included William Parker, 49 and Elizabeth Parker, 46, both of Concord, who were arrested after purchasing multiple boxes of pseudoephedrine and charged with Possession of Precursor Chemicals with the Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine and Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine. Christopher Collins, 46, of Boone, who detectives say they had purchased the pseudoephedrine for, was also charged with Possession of Precursor Chemicals after he was found with 2 instant cold packs, which are also used in the Manufacturing Process for Methamphetamine. The press release called Collins the ‘meth cook’ in the conspiracy.  Both William Parker and Elizabeth Parker, were set $25,000.00 bonds and a January 2014 court date. Christopher Collins was set a $73,500.00 bond due to his charges and outstanding warrants from Cabarrus County and a January 2014 court date on his new charges. The investigation is still ongoing and more charges are expected.
