Dead Man ID'd, Suspect Charged with Murder PDF Print

Caldwell authorities have identified a man found dead early yesterday morning at a residence just outside Lenoir, and have now reported an arrest in what they are now calling a homicide. The 9-1-1 call came in at 6:04 am from a resident who found a dead man lying in his yard, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office responded to what was initially an unknown medical call from the residence on Flintstone Court. Upon arrival, deputies found a male lying in the front yard of the residence, a man the Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation identified today as being Raoul Anton Dula, of Lenoir. Today, investigators were able to develop a suspect and make the arrest of Earl Franklin Moore Jr. of Lenoir.  Moore was placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center under no bond pending his First Appearance, which is scheduled for Monday, June 24th. Details about the crime have not been released.
