Samaritan's Purse is mobilizing to get help to North Texas where several devastating tornadoes touched down early Thursday. Samaritan's Purse rolled an 18-wheeler out of its North Wilkesboro disaster relief center late yesterday afternoon, the truck is loaded with supplies to help the dozens of families impacted by the storms that hit near Fort Worth Texas.
The team of drivers hope to reach Texas by late today where other volunteers are already assessing the damage.  Wayne Shoemaker, Samaritan's Purse, told Dave Faherty of Channel 9, "Our desire here as a Christian ministry is just to go out and support people.   Love them.  Let them know Jesus loves them and hasn't forgotten about them and make it through times like this." This is the fourth disaster Samaritan's Purse has responded to in the U-S this year.
