Logger Airlifted After Being Struck by Tree PDF Print

A logger was injured after a tree fell on him late this morning in the Zionville area.  The 58-year old was airlifted from a landing zone set up at Mabel School by Zionville firemen.  First Responders were called to the Silver Shadow development finding the man suffering head and chest injuries at about 11:15 a.m. Watauga Medics called for WINGS Air Rescue to land near the scene, which turned out to be a field at Mabel School. He was flown to Johnson City Medical Center in Tennessee.
