An ASU student was struck by a car as he tried to cross Blowing Rock Road in front of the Holmes Convocation Center just before 1 yesterday afternoon.  Boone Police said that there was no crossing in the area where 23-year old Nathaniel David Harper tried to cross, and it was not at an intersection. He was struck by a black Mini Cooper driven by 20-year old Jessica Nicole Berkowitz of Charlotte.  Boone Fire and Watauga Medics responded, and transported to Harper to Watauga Medical Center for treatment of non life threatening injuries, and he was cited for failure to yield by Boone Police.
