The Southern Conference is announcing the release of a new video series called "The Starting Line". It will consist of at least 12 video features of both current and former SoCon student-athletes. These features will be released every

three to four weeks on SoConSports.com. The features will highlight student-athletes who want to make a difference in their school, in their community and in the world. Samford defensive lineman, Jeremy Towns, will be the first to be profiled.  The redshirt-senior's feature will be released on August 14. Southern Conference student-athletes are more than just athletes; they are passionate, inspiring people, driven by a special purpose... This is The Starting Line.
