Gregory David Tague, age 68, of Raven Rock Drive, Boone, passed away evening, June 16, 2014, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

Mr. Tague was born January 20, 2014 in Harrison County, Pennsylvania, a son of Margaret Gregory Tague of Hixson, Tennessee and the late James Michael Tague. He was a retired financial officer for Lockheed International. Mr. Tague served in the United States Army, where he received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, a Bronze Star, a Purple Heart, and Army Commendation Medal.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Tague is survived by his wife, Gloria Edge Tague of the home; two daughters, Laura Creel and husband Damon of Seville, Florida and Ashlee McDowell of Asheville; one son, David Tague of Seville, Florida; three grandsons, Dillon Creel, Joshua Creel, and Travis Creel, all of Seville, Florida, and one brother, James Tague and wife Priscilla of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee.

A Funeral Mass for Gregory David Tague will be conducted Thursday morning, June 19, 2014, at 11:00 o'clock, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. The body will lie in state, at the church, from 10:00 until 11:00 o'clock. Officiating will be Father Dave Brzoska. Military graveside rites and entombment will be conducted Friday afternoon, at 3:00 o'clock, at Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends, at the church, following the Funeral Mass.
