Flu season is upon us.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, North Carolina is one of 12 states categorized as having “widespread flu activity.”

The U.S. Supreme Court has granted the State of North Carolina’s request to delay a lower court’s direction in Covington v. North Carolina, halting requirements for the state to redraw state legislative districts and conduct a special election in 2017.  

The Watauga County Commissioners held a public hearing Monday evening and a number of people spoke, most in support of the moratorium, although there were several who spoke against it.
