Controlled burn on 105 PDF Print

If you happened by the end of the 105 Extension in Boone last night- you may have seen flames.

Boone Fire Department conducted a controlled structure burn last. The house had to come down anyway, and according to Lt. Mike Teague, firefighters jumped at the opportunity for hands-on training.

 

Experiences like this make them better firefighters, he said.

The burn lasted from 6 p.m. to approximately 11 p.m.
