Castleberry's closes Georgia facility due to contamination scare PDF Print

Castleberry’s Food Company announced the closure of its Augusta, Georgia production facility today.

The closure comes after sixteen cans of chili sauce tested positive for botulism over the weekend. Additionally, an outside firm has been hired to visit retailers around the country in an effort to quickly get recalled products off the shelves. In the meantime, consumers are urged to avoid potentially contaminated chili sauce. An updated list of potentially contaminated products is available at http://www.castleberrys.com.
