New details are available on a weekend Crimestoppers alert.

An unidentified 37-year-old Hispanic male was allegedly assaulted at a mobile home located on Zeb Street. This morning, Boone Police referred to the incident as a "fight," and alleged it likely that the victim knew his attacker.

The language barrier between the victim and police has been an issue, but Captain William Greene of Boone Police Department said a translator was on the case. Due to both language issues and alcohol involvement, it is difficult for police to assess exactly what happened, but a possible suspect was seen leaving the area, driving a red Dodge truck.

The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated and released from Watauga Medical Center.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crimestoppers at (828)262-4555.
