A local man died at
approximately 11 p.m. last night when his car collided with an SUV on N.C. Hwy
105 in Foscoe.
The man, whose
identity has yet to be released, was driving a northbound white Ford when he crossed
the centerline and struck a southbound Toyota Sequoia head-on, according to
North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
The man was
pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers in the SUV were airlifted to
Johnson City and one was airlifted to Baptist Hospital. Preliminary reports
suggest there were five passengers in the vehicle, but their conditions have
yet to be released.
