Wilkes mother investigated- may have let kids drink, do drugs PDF Print

Allegations against a Wilkes mother have inspired an investigation by both the Department of Social Services and Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office.
A social worker alleged that the 42-year-old mother let her daughters and son, who are 13, 14, and 15 years old, smoke marijuana and drink alcohol. Deputies were also alerted to the fact that the 13-year-old may have used ecstasy with his mother’s permission. The investigation is ongoing, deputies say- and while the only charge on file is contributing to the delinquency of a minor, more may follow. The mother’s name is being withheld to protect the children’s identities.
