While the annual fireworks display is set to begin around 9:30 p.m. at Memorial Park in North Wilkesboro, fourth of July in Wilkes is an event to remember.

The Wilkes Firemen’s Association is sponsoring its eighth annual Emergency Vehicle Parade at 8:45 p.m. The parade starts at West Park in North Wilkesboro and ends at the Board of Education building.
