23-year-old Christopher Douglas McLean of Granite Falls, indicted on charges of first-degree statutory rape of a child and other sex offenses, was sentenced to at least 15 years in prison during Caldwell County Superior Court.

As part of a plea agreement with the state, McLean plead guilty to first-degree statutory rape of a child. The incidents in question occurred on April 9 2006 and involved a 12-year-old female who was spending the night with a 12-year-old female. McLean was accused of going into the bedroom, asking the girls to flash him, and persuading the older girl to have sexual relations with him.
