Jason PerryBoone Police have released details in a Saturday stabbing that put one man in the hospital.

Police responded to a reported assault at Phoenix Apartments on Old East King Street just before midnight. Upon arrival, they found the 28-year-old victim, reportedly suffering from stab wounds in his upper chest and abdominal area. He was transported to Watauga Medical Center. His identity and condition have not been released.

His acquaintance, 36-year-old Jason Andrew Perry, has been charged with one felony count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injuries. Perry’s vehicle was stopped leaving the area shortly after police arrived at the scene.

Perry is being held under a $15,000 secured bond. Boone Police are still investigating the incident.
