A family of three lost their home in that noon-time fire yesterday as a number of Avery Fire departments were called out to the fire in the Frank Community, the fire spotted coming through the roof by a passing fireman.  The flames were coming from the house at 36 Whitaker Branch Road just off of US 19E, the home of Travis and Nikki Clauson, the 12:30pm fire call involving Frank, Green Valley, Elk Park companies plus Avery’s ladder and equipment trucks and equipment from Newland fire.  All arriving units reported the ‘full out’ structure fire, fully involved, and all launched in fighting the fire and setting up water relays from water points.  One of the homeowners arriving at the fire scene shortly after first fire units, reported that no one should have been home at the time of the blaze. Avery crews began to clear the scene in mid afternoon and the investigation into the cause and assessment of loss is still underway according to Avery Fire Marshal David Charles Vance.
