Rain or shine, the Children’s Council is sponsoring the Children’s Fair at Hardin Park Elementary School Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and it’s all free!

Parents and kids will gain valuable information about opportunities available for children in Watauga County, as well as enjoy quality entertainment from High Country Cloggers, Puppets, and more.

The new addition this year is food! Wendy’s, Mellow Mushroom, and Dominoes have donated food for the event, and that’s not all according to the Council’s Tracy Tartidf.  Since it will, after all, be Cinco de Mayo, homemade hispanic yummies have also been donated.

The first two hundred kids to arrive will get free tee shirts to decorate, courtesy of the Mast General Store. The Council could use your help setting up the event and managing activities. For more information, contact the council at 828-262-5424.
