With 24th District Attorney Jerry Wilson stepping down at the end of 2014, the field lining up to seek his seat is getting more crowded.  Tuesday night, Watauga Commission Chairman Nathan Miller officially launched his campaign for the seat.  Miller’s release says that he is keenly aware of problems facing the judicial system in the five county district and promises improvements in efficiency.  He called his record ‘clear,’ including being the youngest Chairman ever of the board of commissioners, a board he says has reduced the county’s ‘substantial debt’ and saved millions of dollars for the county. He also pointed to the endorsement of former 24th District Attorney Tom Rusher, who served the district for 20 years.
