A shoplifting escalated to Common Law Robbery in an incident Tuesday at the Wilkesboro Wal-Mart, after an employee, following two suspects from the store, was pepper sprayed as the two made their escape. The two black males fled the scene in a burgundy van, NC tag BLR-3658, the tag coming back to a Winston-Salem address.  With inquires made of Winston-Salem Police,  a similar incident with similar suspects was reported from the Peter’s Creek Parkway Wal-Mart, as well as one at the Taylorsville Wal-Mart from last Sunday. With the three incidents, better surveillance pictures have been shared among the law enforcement agencies, as well as area stores, and the search for the suspects has gone regional.
