A late June search of a Foscoe residence led to the Monday arrest of a 19-year old on Meth counts. Narcotics detectives from the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Valerie Ann Dollar at her residence listing a 153 Boulder Gardens, Banner Elk address on drug warrants. The warrants stemmed from an incident occurring on June 25th in which detectives searched Dollar’s residence and located a “Shake and Bake” Methamphetamine Lab, meth precursors, and drug paraphernalia.  Dollar, 19, was charged with Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession of Meth Precursors, Maintaining a Dwelling, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  She is currently being held under a $120,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in District Court on July 23rd.  The investigation is on-going and more arrests are expected.
