Lenoir Police have arrested another suspect—the second in a week—in connection with the passage of counterfeit bills in Lenoir. 22-year old Bruce Angle Jr. was arrested Tuesday, charged with obtaining property by false pretense.  The police release says that the investigation started three weeks ago today, June 6th, after a complaint by Holiday Foods, when an employee reported a fake $50 bill discovered in the store’s bank deposit.  The employee, using the store’s surveillance video, was able to determine when the bill was passed and identified a suspect in the case. With the assistance of US Secret Service and NC State Patrol, Lenoir Police were able to secure a warrant for Angle, the Clarks Chapel Road Lenoir man charged with obtaining property by false pretense, and he was placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $3,000 dollar secure bond.
