Developer’s wake tonight PDF Print

Local developer and philanthropist Harry C. Robbins will be laid to rest tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church in Blowing Rock.

Son of famed Grover C. Robbins, Robbins leaves behind two sons, a daughter, and his wife, Barbara J. Robbins. The Robbins family is responsible for bringing Tweetsie Railroad back to the High Country, as well as developing Hound Ears and other local projects. Friends will be received tonight from 6-8 p.m. at Hampton Funeral Service. Robbins passed away Sunday at Blowing Rock Hospital.
