Making Boone ‘walkable’ PDF Print

Boone Point is something Mayor Loretta Clawson gets excited about On a related note, Mayor Loretta Clawson was among those with shovels for the ground breaking ceremony of Boone Point yesterday.

The project will have medical, dining and retail facilities on site, as well as underground parking. Residential condos will be on the top floor- a short walk to downtown attractions.

Local, regional and national retailers have expressed interest in the development, Wilkins says. He offers few hints, but does say nationally known stores will become part of the High Country shopping scene thanks to Boone Point. Wilkins will be announcing the retailers within the next few weeks, he says. Boone Point should take a year to complete.Boone Point, a mixed-use development, broke ground yesterday.
