Caldwell County authorities say they know who’s responsible
for armed pharmacy robberies in Ohio and Texas.
Matthew Triplet and Roy Jacob
Blair, both of the Hartland Community near Lenoir, are alleged to have rented
cars and driven over a thousand miles to commit the robberies. Both were
arrested at home around 4 a.m. this morning.
Caldwell County authorities say the two are in custody
on fugitive warrants, not for committing crimes in North Carolina. Officers say
a fingerprint found in one of the pharmacies led to the Caldwell arrests. A
search of the suspects’ residence led to the discovery of weapons and Oxycodine
that link the two to a robbery in Texas. Both are being held on a $300,000
bond. Sources within the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office say the matter has
been turned over to the FBI.
