Mountain State Fair on Now PDF Print
Monday, 10 September 2007 21:05
North America’s largest rodent is on display at the Mountain State Fair, which runs through September 16 in Fletcher.
Taxidermy beavers, as well as literature about their positive and negative impacts beavers have on habitat are part of the Wildlife Resources Commission’s fair exhibit. Visitors can walk through a 6-foot beaver lodge surrounded by a mock beaver pond to get a better understanding of how beavers alter habitat in order to provide themselves- and other wildlife- with living space, food and protection.
