Yesterday, Governor Mike Easley suspended regulations
on the size and weight of trucks hauling drought relief supplies.
The suspension could last as long as thirty days. Trucks hauling hay or water can be longer, wider and heavier than usual so that they can provide much needed relief to farmers in drought. Currently drought conditions affect every county in the state.
