Sneak peak at the ‘future of bluegrass’ PDF Print
Wednesday, 29 August 2007 21:23

Saturday, High Country residents have a chance to see the next generation in action.

It’s the Americana Music Festival in North Wilkesboro, and, it’s something Record of Wilkes publisher Ken Welborn is excited about.

The performers represent the “future of bluegrass,” he says.

Performers are all youths, he says. The event is free to the public and will be held at the Record Park. Wilkes County is the home of Americana music, Welborn says- and he hopes this event will show visitors why. The event is sponsored by the Record of Wilkes.
