AFP gets new director, NC Policy Watch makes announcement PDF Print
Thursday, 09 August 2007 20:00

Americans for Prosperity, or AFP, has a new state chapter director.

The fiscally conservative watchdog organization announced yesterday that Raleighs Dallas Woodhouse, a former news reporter, will replace former director Francis DeLuca. Among other projects in the General Assembly, the chapter worked to remove the cap on the number of charter schools and opposed making a temporary sales tax increase permanent. Left-leaning N.C. Policy Watch, a project of the A.J. Fletcher Foundation, had an announcement of its own. NCPW will become part of the North Carolina Justice Center, which represents interests of low in-come residents at the state Legislature. Policy Watch is headed by former news reporter Chris Fitzsimmon.
